Shaggy Tumendemberel's journey into the construction industry wasn’t planned—it was built on trust and hard work. Starting his career as a steelfixer in 2016, Shaggy worked his way up from laborer to company owner, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of projects, from residential housing and high-rise apartments to major infrastructure like bridges, tunnels, and metro stations.

The turning point came when his employer, recognizing Shaggy’s honesty, responsibility, and dedication, offered him a business partnership. This was the foundation of MJK Contracting—a company rooted in integrity and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

As an immigrant, Shaggy knows the value of hard work and perseverance. Moving to a new country meant taking on the toughest jobs, working long hours, and continuously learning. This mindset shaped both his personal journey and the core values of MJK: responsibility, problem-solving, and the pursuit of excellence.

At MJK, challenges are seen as opportunities. Shaggy’s leadership style is about maintaining a “no complaints, just results” attitude, fostering a team culture that focuses on solutions rather than problems. One of the most challenging projects, the Aspen Village during the COVID-19 pandemic, tested this philosophy. Despite manpower shortages and tight deadlines, Shaggy motivated his team to push through, keeping morale high while working long hours, including weekends.

Looking ahead, Shaggy envisions MJK Contracting as a mid-sized company with up to 200 employees in the next five years—known for its reliability, quality, and strong partnerships with leading builders. He believes that building a capable and motivated team is essential for long-term success, and his goal is to create a workplace where everyone feels valued, fairly compensated, and supported in their growth.

Shaggy’s leadership is grounded in the belief that real success comes from building strong relationships, both within the team and with clients.
