01 — The job

Thirty-six times, identically.

Thirty-six social housing units across two South Parade sites, delivered for NSW Land and Housing Corporation under the Building Homes for NSW program. MJK won the reinforcement package through tender and started on site in June 2026.

It’s a full structural scope rather than a slab package — strip footings and pier cages, lift pits, ground slabs and beams, columns, stairs and suspended slabs as the buildings go up. Every element carries its own cover, its own ligature spacing, and its own starter bars waiting on whichever trade comes next.

Across 36 units that repeats a great many times. Getting it right once is skill. Getting it identical the thirtieth time, in the same position, to the same cover, is a system.

Repetition is where reinforcement jobs are won or lost.
02 — Compliance

Built for a head contractor’s system.

Government housing work runs on documentation. Zauner administers this project through HammerTech — every worker inducted online before they set foot on site, SWMS submitted and approved per task, insurances current and verified, plant registered.

MJK completed the full onboarding before mobilising, and progress is claimed monthly against an agreed contract. For a project manager, that’s the difference between a subcontractor who fits in and one who becomes their problem.

  • Pre-qualified on a NSW Government housing project
  • HammerTech inducted — every worker, before site
  • SWMS submitted and approved per task
  • Insurances current and verified, certificates on request
  • White Card held by all crew
  • Monthly claims against an agreed contract
